mommy's "helpers"

Jack's attempt, which ended up very messy, but Caroline loved it!

Collin.. Hmm.. maybe I'll test it out for you??

Open wide Caroline!

The boys (especially Collin) have gotten very into "helping" lately. "Helping" is fantastic and I'm so proud that they have the desire to do so... BUT.. everything then takes twice as long.. so sometimes I try to do things without my little helpers!

Here they are feeding their baby sister. Collin especially loves this task.. Jack tried it once and decided his time was better spent elsewhere!

Easter... a month later...

I mean... seriously.. does it get cuter??

The Fab Four (Collin, Katie, Jack, Claire)

Great minds at work...

We had a great time in Houston! as always! Such great food and we all got taken care of so well!

We left again this time at 6 a.m. to head down and thought the boys would go back to sleep... ha ha!! I guess they are too big for that now.. thank goodness for Elmo dvds and snacks!!
The boys love running around in the huge backyard and really loved their aunts who just dote on them! They really did fantastic considering when we came back we discovered they had double ear infections and a sinus infection. Caroline is always an angel and she accompanied mommy to church Easter morning. What a sweet moment to sing about the glorious day with my daughter.
She liked one song and tried to sing along as well! She has a little Mariah Carey squeal in her..

love those berries

It's been so long since I've posted, but we've traveled and have been battling sickness.. still are.. I'm hoping this is the last virus for awhile!

Last week when I went to the pharmacy to pick up 6 bottles of amoxicillin, the pharmacist asked me how many kids I had??

Easter post and others to come.. Here's my sweet Collin loving his blackberries..

Arboretum Part 2..

Of course I had to give Caroline her own photo shoot on our trip. Grandma and I went to several different flower beds and she was wonderful, of course! We just plopped her down and she smiled away!
I actually caught a couple of people taking pictures of her behind me because she's just so stinkin' cute!! Nothing sweeter than a baby girl in some flowers and a pink hat! Oh, I do love having a girl!!

Arboretum

We headed to the Dallas Arboretum on Saturday thanks to Grandma's special cards where we go in for free!! Yeah! I had never been there and it was beautiful! The kids loved it as well. Lots of free space for the boys to run and explore! It started out kind of dreary, but turned into a beautiful day. Sometimes the boys amaze me at what they know... when we saw all the beautiful flowers the first thing they did was run up and smell them and say "mmm". I'm pretty sure I've never done that with them so who knows??
Here are some pics of our trip...
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the great passes and for going with us!

breakfast conversation

The boys have really started talking to each other. When I say "talking", I mean their twin talk intermixed with real words here and there. So, you can sometimes get the gist of the conversation. Yesterday morning their conversation over breakfast went something like this

(they sit down at the table and see that they have waffles and bananas)...
Collin: jabberjabberjabber...waffles..mmmm...
Jack: jabberjabberjabber...mmmm...yeah...
Collin: hot...jabberjabberjabber...waffles!! (very excited inflection)
Jack: jabberjabberjabber... oh, wawa (his word for waffles)

So, I have deduced that this conversation actually was this...
Collin: We're having waffles this morning instead of those yucky whole wheat blueberry pancakes mom makes. Yummy
Jack: We've had those for the last 10 days.. mmm... yeah for waffles!
Collin: They are a little hot! I'm so happy to have the box waffles!!
Jack: Oh, thank goodness we are getting something different! Waffles are so much better!

I'm getting pretty good at this I think!!
